Pastor JIM MURRAY

Lead Pastor

Pastor Jim Murray is our lead pastor who came from Boston, MA., to Pueblo First Church in 2010 with his wife, Deanna, and their four sons, Aaron, Samual, Caleb, and Benjamin. Pastor Jim brings energy and heart to everything he does at PFC! As our congregation's shepherd, Pastor Jim loves nothing more than stepping into the pulpit each Sunday and connecting with people in real, meaningful ways. His leadership style is all about building relationships and moving our church perpetually forward to being the kind of church that God will use to reach our community and world, all while keeping our mission at the center of it all: "To introduce people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ!"

Pastor Jim's passion is beautifully simple: To help people grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ; whether he's preaching on Sunday morning, leading our Coram Deo prayer services on Wednesday, or visiting with folks in and outside the church building, loving people right where they are is what drives him every single day.

When Pastor Jim steps away from the demands of ministry, you'll probably find him working in his yard, exercising at the gym, and spending precious time with his family, grandchildren, and friends.

Pastor LYNETTE CHERRY

Associate Pastor/Worship Pastor

Pastor Lynette grew up in Pueblo, CO. She went to MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS, where she met her husband, Shane. Shane and Lynette have two amazing kids, Autumn and Cole, who help in various roles throughout the ministries at PFC.

Pastor Lynette has worked at PFC for over 10 years, and in that time she has filled lots of shoes, worn lots of hats, and enjoys being able to support the various ministries at PFC in any way she is needed. She has served as a youth pastor for many years, since 2007, and deeply loved the time she spent with the youth of our great city. She helps with administrative responsibilities, A/V, technology, graphic and product design, vision and mission, and preaches a few times throughout the year, but her passion, from a very young age, has always been music. God allowing and calling her to serve in the capacity of Worship Pastor since 2004 is something she never takes for granted. What a blessing it is to help lead our congregation to the feet of Jesus each time we gather through the powerful gift of music.

When Pastor Lynette is not in the office, you can find her driving her kids around to their various activities, at the baseball field watching Cole play ball, helping Autumn hone her driving skills, exercising at the gym, or working around the house and yard.

MARK McGRAW

Youth and Community Connections Director

Mark grew up in Denver and Colorado Springs, CO, and earned his bachelor's degrees in youth ministry and social work from Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho in May of 2022. Mark's passion and call to minister to youth and their families were affirmed while interning at Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene during his studies at NNU. Before working in youth ministry, Mark worked in camp ministry at Golden Bell Camp and Conference Center in Divide, CO, as a camp counselor and camp coordinator for two summers while in college. Mark also served developmentally disabled kids in the school systems, teaching behavioral coping skills while in Idaho.

After his undergraduate studies, Mark married his wife, Amy, and they moved to Pulaski, TN. There, he served as the youth director at Pulaski First United Methodist Church as part of his studies at Austin Seminary School with the Center of Youth Ministry Training. Mark recently moved to Pueblo, CO, to be the youth director at Pueblo First Church of the Nazarene after completing his residency and graduating with a Master's degree in youth ministry from Austin Seminary in May of 2025.

Mark is passionate about searching for the Lord and following his call to serve and care for youth and their families. Mark strives to build a youth ministry that is welcoming, spiritually deep, and life-changing for our youth by helping them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Mark is looking forward to his future endeavors as he uses his gifts and call in his life: pursuing ways to build bridges between community service, mental health, and Christian values.

Whenever Mark is enjoying leisure time, you can find him and Amy in the local coffee shops, comic book stores, at home playing video games, or with their Corgi, Cosmo.
